I have created a small add-in for GP using dex with a few tables. Recently, I made some changes to this add-in, as well as added a new column to one of the table definitions.
When i install the new .cnk file i get a sql error stating that the table definition doesn't match. I know why I am getting this error (the new column) but i don't know how do I upgrade the table definition via code rather than drop and recreate the table. I looked at an example of a table conversion on Customer Source but that seems really extensive for just adding a column to a table. Can anyone point me in the right direction here to a blog post or other form of example?

I am using econnect to ingrate between my system with Dynamic GP PA.
I am able to post the data correctly apart from the Tax Header. Its create correctly in the distribution for PA Line Item, but the Tax Header doesnt display the Total Tax, instead of the actual total taxes.
So when I am trying to post the data from PA to PM, its giving an error about the header tax.
I have tried many different scenario, but can't find any where how to populate the header tax.

Is there are way for Management Reporter 2012 to be able to use multiple row definitions in the reporting tree? I'm currently using MR version 2.1.7044.43 and when I put in a row definition in the reporting tree for one branch it is automatically duplicated to every branch. Likewise, if I change one branch's row definition, it is immediately and automatically made the row definition for every branch on the tree.
I have been able to duplicate this issue on MR version 2.1.1037.15 and I can find a mention of it dated back to 03/23/2011.
I have a cross linked notes already in my data.
The below link explain there is a NoteFix for the Noteindex Issue.
After executing the script, Still there is the same issue.
How can i resolve this?... Please Advice...

Fully Depreciated asset show in Depreciation Ledger report with current Depreciation amount.
Asset is fully depreciated but Remaining Year, days 01/181.
When user run Depreciation Ledger Report it shows Current Depreciation Amt for that particular assets.

1. Which is better two servers or single server for GP and Sharepoint? (currently we have two servers 1. GP (Sql server 2008 R2) and 2. Sharpoint (SQL Server 2008 R2)
2. Recommended RAM for single or multiple servers?
We have internal and external users and total number of userrs are around 150 who work on purchase requests.

Since our upgrade to GP2013 and MR2012, we have been unable to get the Vendor Name to show up in the MR reports. We are using the attribute "Originating Master Record Name", which is what it was set to via the FRx migration utility. The vendor name appeared fine in FRx. Any ideas on how we can get that back or what we many be doing incorrectly? The vendor column shows up but there is no data in that column for any of the transactions. I did check the print control and everything is fine there.

I've figured out how to setup customer statements. You have to use the customer card's options window (Customer Cards > Options button) and select the check box for send email statements and enter the appropriate email address. Then, GP will email them out as attachments. I've gotten this to work, to email out the statement attachments, but there is no message content in those emails. How do you assign a Message ID or get a message to email out with the attachments?
I cannot use the Sales Email Settings window under Sales > Setup > Email Settings, (where you can select the checkbox next to Customer Statements and assign a Message ID) because this causes the Options window that I'm talking about above to become greyed. And, when I try run the statements routines using this way, it does not email out. Only prints to screen.
Hi, the company I work for uses GP10 and my manager asked me to set up business alerts. I managed to set everything up, both the alerts in GP and the database mail setup in SQL but cannot find how to switch GP to start using database mail (sp_send_dbmail) rather than the older version (xp_sendmail).
It is imperative for me to switch since the server SQL is running has no mail client software installed on it and hence cannot work with the older system.
Any one knows how or can lead me to a whitepaper stating how to achieve this?

We posted our workers compensation tax liability for the incorrect date range and posting date. When we attempt to reverse the GL transaction in GP it prompts us to void the transaction from Payroll. How can you void a payroll period end liability transaction?
