Currently, if i have a window open in GP and i open new window , both windows will not be view-able at the same time without manipulation. The window that was already open will be covered up by the main GP window, and the new window will be showing on top of the main GP window. for example if i am entering a voucher in the transaction entry window and i need to research an old voucher through the payables inquiry window, once i click on the payables inquiry window my transaction entry window automatically gets covered up by the main gp window. is there something in the setup that can alleviate this?

Hi, when trying to create tables on GP2010, following error occurs:

EXCEPTION_CLASS_SCRIPT_MISSING

SCRIPT_CMD_USERFUNC

The user is sa, and tables are being created for the current company and some other companies. I found posts similar to this one, and there, suggested solution involves user rights on the table, however, I do not think this the case, since I have tried changing user rights.

Any suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks.

Whenever i try to add new account mumbers to FRX  i am getting this message: ' The changes you requested to the table were not successful because they would create duplicate values in the index,primary key or relationship'.

Can someone assist with this?

About every 2 or 3 weeks all of my Dynamics users will experience GP to become frozen.  When I log on the the SQL server I do not see anything abnormal for CPU and disk usage in task manager.  Also if I try to login my session gets hung at right past the GP login screen.  Any suggestions or ways I can troubleshoot this further?

A process runs when the first user of the day logs into a company, everyday.  It is driven from the HR Module and pertains to life insurance.  The process is called HR_Update_Age_Based_Employee.

When the process is running, it prevents you from switching companies.  In our main company, this is not an issue, but everytime I log into our test company to try something quickly, if I am the first of the day (and most times I am), I must wait about 10-15 minutes before I can switch back because this process is running.

This is how it is expected to run, per the printable documentation from the module.  so it's not an issue of something "wrong", I just want to know if anyone knows of a way to disable this and/or more this process to a stored procedure that runs on the sql server every morning at like 3am when noone is here?

We wish to put Business Portal 6.1 and many other GP 2013 R2 features and apps (nearly all of them) on a VM for demo and testing purposes. This will require the VM to be a domain controller, SQL Server, web server/Sharepoint server, etc. Is it possible to put all these roles, apps, and servers on a single VM? I am tasked with doing this, and I have had a couple of false starts and wonder if I am doing something that is even 'do-able'? Let me know if there is anyone who has done this, or if it can be done. I am trying to run the payroll tax update on a W8.1 workstation. As soon as I select Check for Payroll Tax Update, the window appears but is immediately followed with a crash.  The ugly message is as follows. Has anyone else seen this?

We have a Cashbook Bank Management Batch containing about 60 payment transactions. The Post and Delete options are greyed out. We have pinpointed the issue to 4 transactions that show a payment method of 1 in the company database in the CB770002 table. When we change the payment method to 2 just like the other 50+ transactions then the batch does enable the Post and Delete options of the batch. But once we try to post the batch, then GP crashes on us.

So the question is:

1. Does anyone know how to delete payment transactions out from a Cashbook Entry Batch? We looked at trying to void these 4 transactions but they don't show up in the Enquiry screens.

OR

2.Can anyone give us any other tips on investigating this further to enable us to Post the batch?

I have a client that wants to use the new Document Attach - Scan feature released in 2013 R2, however I noticed it only works with WAI connected scanners. 
I'm not well versed in scanner/printer drivers, but from what I can tell WAI is not widely used or accepted and my clients existing Cannon scanners are not compatible. 

Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone know if there is an application that can convert the standard TWAIN driver into a WAI that GP will accept?

I'm currently working with GP 2010 v11.00.1914.

I'd like to have sales invoices configured for email delivery.  I have done the following:

1. Configured 'Company Email Setup' to send documents as attachments.

2.  Enabled E-mail for the Sales Series.

3.  Created the Message ID 'SALES INVOICE', assigned it to the Doc Type 'Sales Invoice' in the       'Sales' series.  Entered a custom Subject/Body with Invoice fields included (Customer Name, Due Date, etc)

4.  Enabled 'Sales Invoice' in 'Sales E-mail Setup' and assigned the new 'SALES INVOICE" message ID.

5.  Enabled 'Sales Invoice' in 'Customer Email Options' and assigned the 'SALES INVOICE' message ID, assigned 'PDF' to 'Format'.

Upon creating an invoice for email-configured customer, the 'Email Detail Entry' button is enabled.   When I view the Email Detail, the customer email address on file came over, and while the Message ID defaulted to my newly created 'SALES INVOICE' ID, my custom Subject/Message body did not. 

If I click the lookup for Message ID and re-select the 'SALES INVOICE' ID, i get a message that reads 'You must assign the selected message to the appropriate document type or to All as the series'.

I've confirmed that this Message ID was created for the 'Sales' series and Document Type 'Sales Invoice'.

In addition, what is the expected  when clicking the 'Send Document in Email' button on the right side of the top toolbar? Upon clicking it I am asked to specify a destination.  If I select Printer or Delivery System, I get no response of any kind.  It would be great for the email to be sent in the background with the specified Message ID, but I was under the impression that it would launch a new email in the local instance of Outlook.

We are currently using gp 10.0 hotfix version 10.00.1757 and planning to upgrade to gp 2013 .After research I came to know that my gp 10.0 needs to be upgraded to any version higher than 10.00.1779 before upgrading to gp 2013.I am in the process to upgrade the service pack to 10.00.1868 and the one of the company database upgrade is failing and shows below two errors?

I looked at the data in the table, and did not find any records matching the above description. I had two records with a DATACNT of 73, but their DOCTYPEs were:

I also had one record with a DATACNT of 0. I followed Mr. Wheeler's lead and deleted that record. I also changed the '73' DATACNT to '72'. I've just started the update again and it's running right now.

I'm running the update on my stand-alone laptop.

I have a client where people who leave MDGP 2013 untouched for a while receive an error message stating "A remove range operation on table 'syContentPageXMLCache' cannot find the table" when they resume using GP.

The More Info is "[Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]Invalid object name '##1675106'".

It looks to me like it might be a timeout but I wondered if anyone could shed more light on the issue? Hopefully including a resolution.

Hi,

I was testing the capital item function for purchase line items and then auto-receiving the items on the order. Since i have ticked this option for a purchase order i keep getting the message that 'All line items have been received' when the items are still available for shipment and invoicing. I have workflow enabled and i am submitting and approving at each stage when necessary. I can add the line items manually using the receivings transaction entry window but can't auto-receive. Has anyone else come across this?
