I'm having trouble getting managment reporter to select information from the correct period. I'm looking backwards attempting to report on calendar years with a bit of a twist. 2012 no problem our FY was 1/1/12-12/31/12. 2011 begins to be a problem, in this year we switched from a fiscal year to a calendar year and included an extra period for acquisition related cut-off measurements. This year spans 10/1/10-12/31/11 and includes 16 periods. All prior years were fiscal 10/1/xx to 9/30/XX.
Attempting to report on calendar year 2011, i set fiscal year to base-1 and to obtain the correct first period in 2011, i selected base-12 which i would have thought would provide the results from Jan 11, only the results i received was for sept 2010 as though our 16 month period never existed. I was able to successfully report upon 2011 by using base-1 in the fiscal year and selecting base-8:base+4 in the period which doesn't make sense to me (if i only select base for 2011 it reports the month of august 2011)
I have not been able to build a report that successfully selects the correct 12 months for prior years.
for:
2010 (base-2) period base provides the results from sept 2010, yet base-8:base+4 gives no data
2009 (base-3) period base provides the results from sept 2009, yet base-8:base+4 provides a result but I can't reconstruct the answer it is giving.
Does MR use GP's calendar? Am i using fiscal year and period correctly? Is the problem my definition or MR?
