With the release of Build 18 of the Support Debugging Tool (http://aka.ms/SDT) I have created a Support Debugging Tool Feedback Survey.

This short 10 question survey is really important as previously we have only had anecdotal evidence of the community's use of and support for the Support Debugging Tool.

How do we prevent a user from printing payroll checks and exit screen without processing?  When running tests I don't see the printed but not processed checks on the check register as voids or any evidence that checks were printed.  Thanks in advance.

My client is having an issue generating Invoice Templates, it is taking too long.  If the logo is removed then the invoices generate quicker.  Is there a recommended size / resolution for the Logos?

I'm getting the following error when running GP Utilities (GP2013 12.00.1482)on a new Windows 7 Pro (6.1.7601) laptop. 'The stored procedure verifyVeriosnInformation() of form duSQLIstallPass Through SQL returned the following results DBMS: 61, Microsoft Dynamics: 0.' I've seen a lot of posts on the DBMS: 468 error related to SQL collation and I have doubled checked that all dynamics databases and the SQL server have the correct collation. What other things would cause this error and how can they be corrected? Thank you, Scott

Is there any way to override the default naming convention for the email SOP documents attached to an email.  the default is [Company Name]_[SOPNumber]

What would cause some assets to have a Partially Open status?  The only thing I noticed on these assets is that they have a Date Deleted.

We have several items, over 5K, that each have 6 levels of price lists on the item price maintenance screen.  We want to run a script by to update the percent aka the uomprice in the IV00108 table.  Are there any issues doing this that affect other tables or calculations that are going into GP?  Is there a better tool to do this?

When I run the Historical Aged Trial Balance in SSRS, do I need to fill in all the field?  it seems like there are too many fields to fill up.  I just want to run the report to get all the vendors for a date range.  I keep getting the prompt to enter the vendor ID, Vendor Name, User Define 1 and so.  Sometimes I get past the message but then I would get zero amount on the report.

Hello,

I am wondering how I customize my invoice template to show all taxes separate. Right now it shows just "tax" in the total section of the invoice. That "tax" could be a total of multiple taxes. For example Britich Columbia sales would have PST and GST, this is shown if you drill back into the tax of the sales or invoice module but when it is output to a invoice it just shows the two taxes lumped together and labelled "tax". I need to it show both PST total and GST total on the sales invoice template.

How do you do this?

Upgraded GP 2010 TP GP2013 during GP launch ask to run smartlist and gets error "A get\change first operation ontable. 'ASI_MSTR_Explorer_Favorites' failed accessing SQL data. Number if results columns doesn't match table definition

Does Requisitions Management in Business Portal check to see if funds are available before allowing the user to save the requisition?  In other words, if we have budgets set up in GP, does Req Mgmt look at that to determine if a request is within the available budget?

Also fyi, my client currently uses the Encumbrance module in GP.

In my database, WR010130 table is using 2.35Gb is theres a way to clean up entry which doesn't contains any time without affecting Great Plains behaviour.

The routing labor time is only sets on 58,400 entry out of 2,400,000 entry.

Is there a clean up stored proc or a script that could be executed for closed manufacturing orders.

I am trying to add a formula to a current report that divides to rows together to get a percentage (i.e. percentage of Salaries/Net Revenue), and I want it reported on a row, not a column.

Currently, I have it Format Code as "CAL", Related Formulas/Rows as "D.670/D.280", which are the corresponding rows, and Format Override set as percentage.

When I run the report the formula does not appear...any idea of why the formula is not working?

Does anyone know what exchange rate is used to convert from originating to functional currency when closing the fiscal year?  Have a client that claims that the rate being used to convert when they close is from 2011.  The only exchange rate table I see with that particular value in it is the Historical Exchange rate table.

I have found something that is perplexing me.  In particular with Smartlist performance, I have see a drastic drop in performance when moving from a five year old Dual Processor Dual Core Dell PE 2950 with only 8GB of RAM and a RAID 1 and RAID 5 disk layout to a Virtual Environment with 16 virtual cores, 64GB's of RAM and utilizing a Compellent SSD disk backplane (datacenter grade).  The old server produces Smartlist results 2.5 times faster than the new WMWare Virtual Server.  I have seen this happen in more than one environment in two different companies who moved from physical to virtual when they upgraded to GP 2013.  You see the same results with GP 2010 R2 before the upgrade to 2013.

Has anyone run into this drop in performance?  Note, memory, processors and disk IO's barely get pegged on the new server when the Smartlist is producing results.  Also, on the old server the results run at a consistent speed but on the new server the speed fluctuates.

Hello,

I couldn't configure management reporter because when it get to the last option to select database it hangs for a long time and later stopped working.

Please what could have caused this and how do I resolve it.

Is there a module for this?   (I know very little about GP.)
