Background:
- Technicians are assigned to specific territories.
- Technicians receive daily/weekly service call schedules
- Technicians are mobile
Need:
Optimized route report which shows a starting point and lists/shows the optimal route for each technician as they go about servicing customers within their territory. The start/end points could be the technician's assigned office or the technician's home address. So, the route should show (for example) a map starting at the technician's home address in the morning, each customer they could service on the way to the assigned office, and the assigned office as the end point. Alternatively, the route would show a map starting at the assigned office, each customer they need to service for the day, and the end point would be the assigned office.
Question:
Does anyone know how to do this without purchasing a 3rd party product? For example, I am thinking a report that sends all the addresses to Bing/Google and Bing/Google produces the route, but I do not know the specifics of how to make it happen on the Bing/Google side. Guidance appreciated.
