I built a Summary Smartlist called Sales Tax Open Summary Report. This report summarizes, by date and tax detail ID, all receivables tax transactions in the RM open File.
I tried adding a Drilldown Builder that would drill back into the RM Open file and show all the open transactions. I also tried adding a go-to SmartList that did the same thing. Neither of them work. The only drill down that works is when I select the last day of the month, that one actually works and shows a detail of all transactions for the last day of the month, but all the other days when I double click on them, open the other smartlist up but return no records.
Is this a bug in SmartList Builder or am I doing something wrong? To reproduce, try the following:
Create SmartList - SALESTAXOPEN - and add the following table:
RM Tax Work
Then Add RM Open File - linked back to RM Tax Work on Document Number = Document Number
Under Options, select "Summary Smartlist", and for your columns you will have sales tax amount, tax amount, and tax detail total sales, all with a sum summary type in the tax work file, and in the rm open file you will group by the document date (i removed the tax detail id to see if it would work if we only grouped by one field but it still doesn't)
Verify your SmartList works first.
Then go back to SLB and add a Go-To - add "Open SmartList" to your goto.
Call it something like SalesTaxDrill, product is MS Dynamics GP and SmartList is "Tax Detail Transactions"
Under search, column name document number is equal to value document number (check the smartlist field check box so it passes the document number from the smartlist to the other smartlist).
Save it, and run it in smartlist. Notice it won't open any of the days except for the last one on the list. The rest will return no records.. Odd huh?
