Frx Account Type modifier - YTD figures

Hi All

I was wondering whether you would be able to help me out resolving an issue with the Account Type modifier in the Row Format ie: we are using account type (categories) instead of account string/masks. 

So in our the first row we have 1,/A  in our Link to General Ledger column. 

Now our problem is that when we have YTD calculation in Column format doesn't calculate anything but our Month calculation does return a value, now if I change the Link to General Ledger column to use a Account mask instead of Account Type (Category)  then it works correctly.

I was wondering whether somebody else has faced this issue and whether it is something that can be resolved using the Account Type modifier?
