Maunally issuing lot tracked items

I am just wondering how other companies handle issuing lot tracked items from pick lists??

Wwe are required to lot track several components and our average weekly component issue is over 5000 items.

I always assumed the GP 2010 would use FIFO method to auto select the lots...but have discovered every component needs to be manually selected.

Are there any other companies using lot tracked components and how do they handle the issuing of components?/
