My client uses the MDA code functionality. They have an analysis default set up to REQUIRE an MDA code.
They use the account on a bank transaction....the MDA code cannot be entered at this time. So, they post the bank transaction and then enter the MDA code on the journal entry before posting.
The problem is that sometimes they forget to enter the MDA code and post the GL batch. I would expect them to receive an error message since the MDA code is REQUIRED. However, the batch posts with no error and now there is no mda code attached to the transaction. I am wondering why the batch would post if the analysis default is set to REQUIRED?????
