I am not sure if this is the proper forum to ask this question, but here goes. We have a client on GP 9. They are current on maintenance and have refused my advances to upgrade over the years. In my last passionate plea I was able to get them to agree provided I could find other similar clients willing to talk to them and discuss how they overcame hundles in their line of work. I have tried getting them to go to Convergence but that went no where are as well. They are a small electronics reseller and, hence, are subject to the whims of SONY and Mitsubishi and the like. A constant irritation is the instant rebate offer. They may have a TV that sells for $1,000 but then the manufacturer offers an instant rebate of $300 so the reseller now has to honor that rebate instantly and take $300 off the sale. This is just one of the problem resellers like this face every day. They do not have volume of a Best Buy where they can afford to hire a staff to handle these issues. If anyone in this line of business is willing to discuss how they have used GP to overcome hurdles such as this and others please let me know. The conversion will be between customer and customer and all I will do is set it up.
