We have a GP client that is trying to enter bank transfers between two checkbooks that have different currencies, where neither of the currencies is the functional currency of the GP database. Therefore, GP does not allow this transaction. This leads me to two questions that I’m hoping others can help me with –
1. This client did an initial search after receiving the error for this transaction, and found information that may indicate that the Cashbook Bank Management (CBM) module in GP may allow this type of transaction. However, my understanding was that CBM is not targeted at the US market, and therefore, I’m not even sure if this module is available on a US installation (as opposed to a UK localized install, for example). Does anyone know? I don’t have any experience with CBM.
2. Assuming that CBM cannot be used in this case, does anyone have any other solutions that may work for these transactions? I think that maybe Nolan Computers’ Advanced Bank Rec module may work, if they use the Require Exchange Rate option and assign Exchange Rates in Nolan’s Advanced Bank Rec. Thoughts??
Thanks in advance!
