We have two large customers that required that we implement Global Data Synchronization. To meet their requirement we developed a custom software application that allows the store and maintenance of item data that could not be stored in native GP. The custom application was developed prior to my arrival here and we are soon to start an upgrade from GP9 to GP2010. I'm wondering how others have addressed Global Data Synchronization within GP2010. We would like to address current and possible future customer requirements to use Global Data Synchronization within GP using the GP database. One solution that comes to mind is to use Extender if the native GP database does not provide placeholders for the type of data required for Global Data Synchronization. At this point I'm not yet very familiar with the Extender product. I also found that a Google search on GP and Global Data Synchronization returned some results for Redtail Solutions. So, in summary how is your company satisfying Global Data Synchronization requirements with GP? Thank you.
