Microsoft Dynamics GP OpenOffice.org integration

Hi There,

We're looking at migrating from Microsoft Office to OpenOffice.org to reduce costs. Has anyone ever tried this? I can't seem to find any solid documentation on the subject, and it looks like Dynamics GP specifically calls the Microsoft Office API to create Letters, etc...
