Management Reporter Scheduling Query

When reviewing the 'Recent Expensive Queries' area of the Job Activity Monitor on our SQL Server 2012 instance, I found that a query was accessing the Management Reporter database thousands of times per minute (8000+).  I'm assuming that isn't normal, but can anyone suggest what to check?
