Dynamics GP 2010 DSN Use ANSI quoted identifiers and ANSI nulls, paddings and warnings

Hello,

I would like to know what is the consequences of enabling these 2 settings? Does Dynamics still runs normally with these enabled? I came across this link, dynamicsgpblogster.blogspot.ca/.../microsoft-sql-server-dsn-configuration.html

It seems to me that Dexterity does not support them and they will not get used. But is there any harm to enable them?

Why I am asking this is that I am trying to develop a C# VS Tools addin for Dynamics GP 2010 and I am trying to use the Sql server query notification in the addin. As a requirement to use query notification, I would need to have these two settings enabled. In fact, without enabling them, Dynamics cannot save to the table that my notification query reference. I got the error "[Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]INSERT failed because the following SET options have incorrect settings: 'QUOTED_IDENTIFIER, CONCAT_NULL_YIELDS_NULL, ANSI_WARNINGS'."

As an experiment, I tried enabled them and I can still login to Dynamics. I can save to the table that my notification query reference in my addin and has not run into any problems yet. Just wonder does anyone have any insight about this.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Henry
